Dr. Samadi, robotic prostatectomy expert, shares positive news for men with heart disease. With a doctor's clearance, men who are able to climb two flights of stairs without becoming winded or experiencing pain, can safely resume sexual activity. This recommendation comes from the American Heart Association, who found that engaging in sex does not put a significant strain on the heart. Dr. Samadi stresses the importance of getting a doctor's approval before resuming sexual activity. He also reminds that erectile dysfunction (ED) can be an early warning sign of heart disease.

Dr. Samadi is Chairman of Urology and Chief of Robotic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.
