Dr. Samadi discusses the benefits of individual vitamins in preventing serious diseases such as breast cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and high cholesterol.

He says that for those who watch their eating habits and nutritional intake, exercise regularly, and get appropriate amounts of sun, a multi-vitamin is not a necessity.  However, for many people, always eating healthy is a difficult task and a multi-vitamin is beneficial as a preventative measure.
