Stephen, B

I want to take a moment to thank you and your wonderful medical team for my successful surgery. In October of 2011 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and I immediately did a lot of research into my plan for treatment. Luckily my prostate cancer was ''caught'' early so I had many treatment options available, including internal and external radiation, and surgery. In choosing surgery, there were a few goals. or outcomes, that I strove for. One, to be cancer-free, two, to have a minimally invasive procedure, and three, to be assured of full sexual function and continence. As I searched, mostly on the internet, I came to the definitive conclusion that you, Dr. Samadi, would be most able to help me achieve my goals. Although there are many surgeons that perform the RALP procedure, very few have performed thousands of these procedures with such great success. That combined with the extraordinary reputation of  Mount Sinai Hospital, and your association with it, I was so at ease with my decision, I almost forgot I had the disease!

Well, a year has passed by since my surgery I have had four follow-up PSA tests, and all have come back 0.00! You can't get more perfect than that! So I am well on my way to achieving all of my goals, including full sexual function, and continence. Again, many thanks to you, and your team, and also a special thanks to Jade at Mount Sinai PACU,  and Helen and Lauren at 625 Madison Av., for their compassion and care. God bless all of you!

I am aware of the fact that it takes a extraordinarily rare surgeon to be the master of Robotic Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy.  I watched the video released by the Henri Mondor hospital before my surgery, and once again today. Although you make it seem easy to the patients and their families, your accomplishment is nearly superhuman.
