The operation went like clockwork and was successful. My stay at Mt. Sinai for a little over 24 hours went just as Dr. Samadi had explained at our first consultation .There were no surprises or unexpected incidents. The staff at Mt. Sinai were great. My post operative recovery is progressing well...

"Personalmente recomiendo la “Prostatectomía Radical Laparoscópica Robotica Asistida” que ofrece muchas ventajas en comparación con la cirugía abierta. Que mejor garantía si es realizada por el Dr. David B. Samadi, quien cuenta con muchos años de experiencia y el reconocimiento internacional en la aplicación de este tipo de tecnología.

Dr. Samadi made it very clear as to his vision of me being cancer free and at the same time he considers quality of life as being extremely important. He portrayed these feelings with a real sense of commitment and confidence. I felt as if he directly spoke to me in a confident and understanding manner.

I put my life, and my quality of life in the hands of the best surgeon I could find, DR. David Samadi.  My surgery was October 19th, 2009. I was walking around a few hours after surgery. I went home the next day.

The day that I discovered I had prostate cancer I thought that my life was over. I thought I'd wouldn't live to see my grandchildren grow up or grow old with my wife. Then I met Doctor David Samadi, Chief Division of Robotics and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Department of Neurology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

After considering all available options I decided on the Robotic surgery. We were told that it was a relatively new procedure with fantastic results. When my wife and I asked for the best doctor available for the procedure God led us to Doctor Samadi.

It was explained to us that Doctor Samadi developed the Robotic procedure himself and had great success with it.

When I met with Doctor Samadi I was immediately put at ease. He was intelligent, confident, caring and honest. His beside manner was second to none and he explained everything to me, not only in detail, but in a way that I could easily understand it.

One thing I didn't want was to be put through a grueling surgery that would take me months to recover from. I wanted to be back on my feet as soon as possible. I wanted the option with the highest success rate and the least invasive surgery possible. I only had to stay in the hospital overnight and rest at home for six weeks, but I was on my feet and starting to resume limited activities in two weeks.

I had my surgery on January 21.Six weeks after my surgery Doctor Samadi once again checked my PSA count. Doctor Samadi and I were thrilled to discover that it was zero. My cancer was gone!

I can't say enough good things about Doctor Samadi. He's the most intelligent, confident, caring and honest doctor I have ever had the great pleasure of meeting. I truly believe I owe my life to him and God. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have done as well as I have. I truly believe that. I really feel that God worked through Doctor Samadi's hands to cure me. I will forever be grateful to him and his staff for the courteous, caring and professional care that I received.

Thank you to Doctor Samadi and his staff!!!
