Prostate cancer recurrence, rectal issues and damage, and erection and ejaculation problems are among the risks with CyberKnife® and HIFU. In some patients, radiation increases risk of colon and bladder cancer.
If for any reason the cancer returns after surgery, radiation remains a viable secondary treatment.
